I can only ask for information that would exist as of the period of time before the game was randomised. So anything about the setup but nothing that relates to the game as it is playing out.

So I can't ask if a particular player is the role that they claim to be but I can ask if there's a cop present in the game. It's why I worded my questions the way that I did.

...but I did ask exactly that. I worded my questions in such a way as to reveal that:

In a specific number total, how many roles are present in the game that are hostile to town aligned players?

Another of my questions narrowed it down:

With either a 'yes' or a 'no' as an answer are there any third party roles present in the game that are in opposition to town aligned players other than the standard mafia team?

I think we've caught our serial killer, guys. Note how Void completely dodged my question in my post directed at him as well as falling back on claiming that I haven't asked a useful question despite my insistence that I am limited in regards to what I can ask about the game. Perhaps my questions could have been better though learning about how many roles hostile to town are present in the game.

In fact, I'm just going to go ahead and put my money where my mouth is. If I'm wrong, then feel free to take me out during the next phase (assuming I'm not the one to be killed off during the night.

I think we should take out either Void or Blind to prevent both of them making it to the end game and turning against everybody else if they happen to be some weird role cruising on a technicality due to being played by two players.

So my question would be - if Void and Blind had to pick one of them to be offered up today for a yeet who would it be between them and why?

I can't bring myself to entirely disregard the weirdness of Val getting a result that was then edited away by the mod and I could easily imagine a situation where everyone in the dead thread is complaining because we're overthinking it and not taking the obvious route.

Void's going to hate me, though I'm starting to worry it could be Void, Blind or Listo. It's likely that the serial killer has some tricks up their sleeve to account for the amount of power roles in the game and I have a hunch that whatever it is is being holstered for the time being. It doesn't help that I'm still a little paranoid regarding Val's initial result - the more I think on it, if it were a mistake or false information then the mod would probably clarify that.

Though I don't have any real weight to put behind it and I keep second guessing myself so it isn't really anything solid.

To be clear, I can't ask anything along the lines of 'Is X, Y?' I'm only able to ask questions about the game's setup prior to roles being handed out and nothing about what is actually happening within the game at present.

I'm limited in exactly what I can ask regarding the game's setup and I haven't been able to think of any good questions.

I asked if there were any roles capable of changing the night actions of other players and the answer was 'none'.

For what it's worth, Xanjori, if you do flip town then I agree that looking more closely at Void is a necessity and I urge people to do as much if that's the case.

To be fair, you may want to kill me in a game but you generally don't because if and when I get night killed it risks people looking at you suspiciously even as a joke.

I do think that it's plausible for there to be a lot of investigative roles in a game with no write-ups. Has there ever been a game with a scum aligned medical examiner? It strikes me as inevitably town on the basis that the scum team aren't generally going to want to waste time finding out what a slain town role happened to be as opposed to finding out what a living town player is.

My apologies for not being around towards the second half of the day phase, I have a recurring issue with my left eye and on days when it flares up I can't look at a computer screen without it hurting.

Anyway! Claws being mafia isn't terribly surprising. I had a hunch he might have just claimed to be the doctor to save himself/bait the real doctor into claiming but it was also plausible for him to be telling the truth.

I can confirm that at least one of the three hostile players is third party and separate to the mafia team.

Just that the role exists in this game. In hindsight I should have gone with a better question but I submitted it during a migraine so I wasn't thinking straight.

There's limitations to my role when it comes to what I can ask, though I put a question through last night and I can confirm that there are indeed VT's present in the game.

I asked that since we're only getting alignment flips and some players have expressed concern that the VT claims could be fake or that every single player is some sort of power role.

I do have a hunch we should expect some manner of trickery. Whether it's someone dying alongside Crackle with the yeet or him turning out to be a jester as previously speculated.

Town aligned or not a killing role with little to no control over who they kill at night is inevitably going to be more of a detriment than an advantage.

I'm willing to give Void the benefit of the doubt for a number of reasons:

- I looked up the role on the mafia wiki and it's legit.
- Void correctly deduced my role before he claimed, so he's aware that there's rare/unusual roles present in this game.
- Blind coming out to defend him reinforces his claim.

I'm liking all these twists and turns.

I think one of the potential points in Void's favour is the frequency in which he is handed unusual/challenging roles in Night's games.

Anyway, I'd be fine with yeeting either Xan or Crackle today. I dislike how my obvious joke vote was latched onto so quickly and then both Void and myself ended up becoming 'trains'. Not with any great weight behind them but it reeks of opportunism.

Why are people desperately trying to make something out of me not immediately voting to sleep? We're following up on a game where Void was scum, so I voted him on that basis as a joke as my entry post in the game. It isn't any deeper than that.
