I picked up the Dead Space remake as well. I, too, never played the original but it's pretty good - I like how long it is, since my typical complaint for horror games is how short many end up being. There's a decent variety of weapons and many objects in the environment can be used to fight against enemies which helps shake things up when it comes to combat.
Octopath Traveller 2 is the next game I intend to get my hands on, followed by Resident Evil 4's remake.
I never played Tactics Ogre, so in tempted to check this one out
The second paragraph is me. Now that I'm out of school, I want to try and burn through my backlog. And then catch up on the big games from the last year or two(like Elden Ring). Also trying to grab a PS5 in time for FF16 and FF7 Rebirth
I'd say its worth it. Plenty of optional content to sink your teeth into, too. If you don't care about spoilers I'd recommend a guide, though. If only so you don't miss out on recruiting characters.
There's no difficulty settings so the game can be tough at times, so I'd also recommend separate save files in case you need to restart from an earlier point.
