Not an intentional mislead... but i equate you 2 a lot. So thats where my mindd went
Which is interesting since jarrod was my main clear.

    Is he in the clear?

Feels opportunistic to the leading train

Im just catching badger in his lie about deets on me earlier and wanted the truth.

And not scum. I just dont care if and when I go over. May ask to be subbed, if anyone is available.
I'm confused by this. What did Badger say about him having deed on you?

Short of something I missed, this looks like a mislead.

This just isn't true. Revives in the Videoland series. All the other games were limited and had a variety of gimmicks.
In fairness, the videoland trilogy good equate to more than 3 games of time. Much like an author who writes a lot, but has one series that gets a movie made about it.....our minds tend to go to their most famous work quickest.

  21. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

    @Dreyski
    Once again

The answer to your question lies in the post you're quoting.

You present some reasons that make you think I'm mafia.

    I disprove them.

You go "sure but it doesn't clear you"

I just don't feel like I'm being given a fair shake here, is all.
It's possible that the disapprovals are resonating with you more than they do other people. we both know that good scum can make rationalizations make sense on a lot of things. It doesn't mean it's disproven.

As an example, Voting nightingale without any votes on you and just vetting....regardless of explanation offered, would you say it's unfair that people think it looks bad. Cause regardless of rhetoric, it looks like you took the first option to get off potentially helpful flips.
  22. Mazer

Since nothing I say or do apparently no longer matters to people

    Vote: Nightingale

  25. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

That might be what I was remembering him. It's a good point. I still have future in my suss pile. And it is possible that a team might prioritize saving a more active player like BN.

And yes, I feel very suss of Insaner. Like if BN wasn't such high probability I would have probably wanted that Insaner to be the competing train.

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

I reiterate again that I have town read you pretty early in every game I played with you where I was town. It didn't make me a wolf then and it doesn't make me a wolf now.

I have several things I want to say in response to that.

    1) I unvoted not long before going to bed for the night and I wasn't going to change my vote after that.

    2) I was the main person who was resisting the Claws yeet. By dropping my support, I made it so that there was no longer anyone pushing for a case for other villagers to get behind, essentially condemning Claws.

    3) When I unvoted I believe it made the trains 6-2. I figured that with this spread and you campaigning for Claws as hard as you did he was very likely going to get yeeted anyway.

    4) I thought that if I had made the votes 7-2 then it would seal the deal right then and there. I wanted there to be some lingering hope for potentially changing the result of the yeet in case Claws was mafia so that any would be partners would decide to go for it and show their hand. I knew that it would also create the risk of the yeet actually going the wrong way but I thought this that risk was very small and it was worth it.

This is consistent with the rest of my play this game as I have been deliberately playing for info almost the entire time.

    5) "People should have done what I wanted because I wanted it" is not a logical argument.

I'm not exactly sure what this rant is all about because I have described an instance of me considering your thoughts in my previous reply.

Feel like with the vote 6-3 before you dropped, and dreyski having gained little momentum, that you're taking a fair amount of credit for just dropping a vote "condemning claws". I'm not mad at anyone who wasn;t all the way sold on claws. But this feels revisionist and opportunistic
  31. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

Seriously though. We have like 12 hours left in this phase and neither of the two most suspect people have gone above 2 votes.... am I going to have to beg for us to yeet someone sus again? >.>
I was back and forth on interpretation yesterday.

If I look at yesterday and today (with info) and how reticent people are....I believe the purple group is likely not motivated to help town
  32. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

    Yes, you info is wrong.
Knowing that someone acted last night already narrows down the probability to being a greater chance of thar individual being something other than green.

And then a specific type of action that's not a straightforward role would also rule out most traditional town roles like cop, doc, etc.

And I'd have to see someone else as a strong possibility of someone else to feel like the more probable thing is I'm falling for a Ninja frame job.

    Just looking at the probabilities
  33. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

So please tell me, what I did and how I manipulated things
I'm not aware of where people would typically get an exact action confirmed. It's usually things like who and place.

In the absence of a defined target, I would expect a player to get a more general finding.

Are you saying the info is wrong then?
  34. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

I did already press BN on all this yesterday and he did put his vote then later after the back and forth.

Between his and Tildey's vote, I feel like Tildey's was more scummy.

Unless that whole character reveal change is being considered. 👀

How often do you see people owning their errors in mafia? I'm not hard clearing either of them, but I consider them lower priority at the moment.
    On a flip? A lot.

    Except for that one guy.

Honestly, most of vk and my conversations are just a recollection of everything we should have read better.

Especially since there were justifications this is a different soft clear to me
  36. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

End of play yesterday. Now I'm not naive to think all the people on my train were scum, or claws' train are town. But I'm wondering when scum decided to let claws hang, because two more votes would have tied, or one person jumping from claws to me. That latter fact leaves me happy with the people on claws' train, who, in other cicumstances could have worked with a confederate nonvoter and a flimsy justification to jump trains leaving me in deadchat.
On my train, BN and Jarrod both were quick to admit to Nightingale that their reads on Claws were wrong, as was my initial judgement. Claws obviously is dead red, and that leaves Tildey, who I don't think has popped in this day phase (I'm not sure, worth an ISO)
On the nonvoters, I'm struggling to remember who voted and unvoted as a safety mechanism, but who might have got me yeeted if the results were closer? I get townier feels on Insaner, LDG and Matthieu.

Which leaves my choices on Tildey, Future, GrumpyCat, Mazer and MTR. More to come.
So......you're clearing people because they quickly admitted they were wrong.....following a flip?

It would seem a weird strategy for them to double down further today.

  38. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

Yeah but getting you worked up and Mazer's innocence are two entirely separate things.
I have genuinely missed it but I shall try and find the post (s) in question. But from my end everything I say you seem to twist with “Well Badger could have done this as scum” and you enjoying me getting “worked up” means it’s hard to take you seriously sometimes.

I have a vote stolen and a paper thin train on me so it’s no wonder I’m worked up a bit.

Only by focusing on the proper trains, which you have both only given light attention to so far, can you ever find peace.
  39. Mazer

Badger could have been scum hiding on Claws train for future street cred.

Tildey I feel like could be scum and was curious if she could help Claws stay in that late hour of D2.

Everyone else I'm watching with curiosity at this point.
I get that it's hard to have reads on every single person, but I think it's fair if I ask about some in more specifics.

  48. Mazer

That doesn't make sense. How could I have been hiding? It was 4-4 when I voted Claws so tipped the balance in his favour because I thought he was scum. If I was scum I wouldn't do that.

I'm not saying there wasn't scum on that train but why would I put my team-mate in danger like that. If anything there could have been more hiding by not voting or voting Dreyski.

    Ok then you do you.

Hey Nightingale would you want to vote someone out of BN FH Matthieu? I have reason to think there is scum there. Not mechanical stuff.

I don't even know where to begin with this...

Okay. So. If claws told his team to bus him why would they jump on the drey wagon? If you're discarding that world and deciding the drey wagon is clean that means that any voting scum actually are bussing claws...? And you think the drey wagon is clean but then have both BN and Tildey who were voting drey in your poe?

And maybe it's just me, but your paragraph about BN sounds extremely bitter...

I haven't changed my town lean on dreyski, but I don't agree with a clear.

There's no reason void couldn't have hit twice.

But I'm not going crazy with that, because my attention is elsewhere.

Just need to go deeper on something. Do we believe the language about attention was a result of a purple action?

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

Yeah. I don't love the thought that Claws will build a well thought out argument out of gifs for a fairly low sample size dreyski.

Foxxi seems a little more driven/locked in in what I see as mostly neutral vs. Somewhat suss (generous).

I guess I haven't seen too many other folks even so much as list a post of dreyski's they've liked.

That said, I go back and forth. I did like 1 dreyski post and I have nothing but soft meta on claws. Because my best Claws reads are his interactions with other vs. his own self defense. Which myself, along with a lot of others, get wrong a lot. Of course, there's also a chance that I'm feeling bad for Claws who does get jacked a lot.

And there is a chance that this was agenda Claws on d1. So maybe it was suss.

Figuring out foxxi is always a priority for me. Would a scum foxxi go hard at Claws? She's brilliant and I don't put anything past her from saving a teammate to a bus.

So back and forth. But leaning vote claws.
  61. Mazer

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

I haven’t been able to get caught up entirely but I wanted to at least make an appearance. I have to work for a few hours today so it is truly just a drop in appearance to weigh in at least a little.
I have not been able to go back and read all of what I’ve missed. what I have read I skimmed.

Regarding D1 reactions, I tend to struggle with those. I wasn’t particularly struck by either Claws or Dreyski’s post. Both seemed NAI to me. Drey’s posts were analytical and mechanic focused. Claws was taking the piss out of VK. Seemed like a typical D1 to me on both counts. I didn’t think anything odd about Claws’ delayed vote on VK because of his "I am the hammer" post.

I did look up the gladiator role because I'm not familiar with it. From what I gathered, the role typically would be able to choose any player to faceoff against. Since he was killed before getting to do that, it makes sense to me that as a passive he was able to choose any two players to faceoff. So my gut tells me that he picked two from his sus list & that’s how we got here.

I am bothered by Foxxi's insistence that everyone sheep her vote because she feels stronger about her read than she feels others are about theirs. In my experience, she's a proponent of wanting people to come to their own conclusions & think for themselves. So to see her appear to be discouraging that & instead taking the stance that everyone should vote the way she wants them to because she wants it more just feels offputting to me.

I’m also not crazy about Future’s shitpost drop in then claiming he was ready to be serious and then disappearing.

I’m not going to cast a vote yet because I hope to be back before day ends.
I do not hate this post.

Not really. I don't really think either of you are scum and you had less votes.

This phase has sorta felt like a extension of D1 to me except we're stuck with these options. Scum are probably enjoying this, have used the time to plot and already have night plans pretty much set. Claws is stuck with GIFs, people are pushing the hell out of him and while he has communicated wonderfully it does feel like stars aligned this phase for scum to sit back and watch us eat our own.

I didn't like badger's pop in either honestly. It felt way too uninvolved. I would have expected more vocal opinions on the choices given how much arguing has happened and instead just got a "yeah i guess claws could be sus" and not even a comment on how he felt about me pushing it..... if claws is scum badger looks awful from that I think.
I still am not confident in my reason you, but I do want to see Badger vetted.

I inferred what the rule was.

And you are missing my point that Dreyski has not expressed an original read this game.

You can argue all you want about how Claws didn't actually believe in his own read, but the other dude didn't even have any reads to begin with. And I don't recall anyone actually asking Claws the question of "are you just meme pushing Void here" nor do I recall him stating such. You are just running off assumptions here instead of looking at the facts.
I know we're forcing things do to having 2 people we're forced to, but is it a big deal that dreyski hasn't had an original read on day 2 with a small number of things to interact with?

Even more so on day 1

    Dreyski is neutral to me.

But there's an argument to be made that if you're neutral on both, claws is the more active player

Mafia 9: Sega vs Nintendo - The Race for the Next Generation

Well, let me put it like this. In a world where I am town, you have read my D1 completely wrong. Given that me and Claws were essentially doing the same thing on D1, it seems a safe assumption that you read Claws D1 wrong as well.
Too completely different playstyles fir you guys though.

I just read the mod post for N1. I think this is the only writeup that hints at some sort of silencing action. Could it be the one that caused Claws to have this restriction? I suppose it wouldn't necessarily clear him even if it was, since it's a possibility that mafia used it on one of their own. But I still found it interesting to point out.
    Makes sense

I'd guess he had some kind of passive, but not really sure how it works. It couldn't just be people on his train because dreyski left his train....and besides, he wasn't yeeted. It would be weird I think for a kill to trigger a thunderdome kinda thing with people who'd been voting him.
With psych, wouldn't be surprised if vk got to choose the gladiators upon death

    Th
Just getting my head around Psycho's writeup style:

Little Jimmy from down the street was having trouble staying awake at school the next day because he stayed up all night playing Earthbound. Jimmy thought it was worth every second.
    Sounds like a roleblock

One person couldn't stop going on and on about Panzer Dragoon, taking up arms with it proclaiming that it will be a game-changer in the industry.
    Not sure. Doctor or motivator?

Shigeru Miyamoto was hard at work overseeing his top project, making sure to revert extra resources to get it done within a desirable timeline.
Did this cause the me/claws choice? Looking at the flavout, may also be a busdriver action

At a college AV club gathering, it's members were having a deep discussion about video game composers. One said it was an underrated part of the package, and that Koji Kondo’s work left him speechless.
Sounds an awful lot like a silencer action.

A kid goes into his local Blockbuster, looking at what games to rent. He picks up Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and contemplates. “Eh, I already beat this game.” He puts it back down and rents Shining Force II instead.
    ???

A small online community ran a poll to see what upcoming games its members were most excited about. There was a lot of talk about the console port of Virtua Fighter and how it would revolutionize the home fighting game market. It actually managed to reach second. But it was greatly outshined by #1, Super Mario 64. User TurboGrafxGuy76 said that “it’s no question! Super Mario 64 is going to absolutely kill the competition and VoidKitten is dead on arrival in comparison.” Everyone listens to TurboGrafxGuy76, and that became the narrative of the message board.
    And that's the kill
I think psych is being deliberately misleading or at least ambivalent in write-ups. Is this the one where actions are revealed at death?

Agree. Spreadsheeting alone isn't the best, but being able to use a spreadsheet to form ideas about other people based on what you see if quite useful.

I get not spreadsheeting. I won't do it early unless theres a billion and a half actions.

Here, at least, the spreadsheeting comes with flips, which means after today we should have no excuse to no yeet unless its to make an odd number in lylo.
Also, Why spreadsheet until you know you're going to survive? Spending a lot of time creating on day 1 and then you die night 1? That's just double hurtful.

Some games, I have to go back and redo from scratch after some ability flips render earlier reads irrelevant.

But it builds character. Unlike when you use your mods to beat old 8 bit games by adding extra save points.

Not necessarily, especially some of us don't even spreadsheet in the first place.
People view spreadsheeting too dichotomously. Just because it can't prove to 100, doesn't mean its not a valuable tool to narrow probabilities.

But I don't like to spreadsheet too early. I don't like to bias my reads
