Thanks for the game! I had fun and I think not knowing who everybody actually was added a cool layer of intrigue to it all. I guessed a few people correctly based on their posting styles but others caught me off guard with their reveals.

Also thank you to whoever it was that brought me back from the dead! I tried to lay low after that and was genuinely surprised to survive for so long.

Also, apologies for being quiet - I'm kind of avoiding the internet at the moment as best I can because Final Fantasy XVI is out in a couple of days and I'm trying to avoid spoilers. That said, I'm here and keeping up with the thread.

Xavier's correct in his assessment of voting patterns. Given the 'who' behind some of the known scum that we've caught, I really wouldn't put it past them to encourage their teammates to vote in a way as to be 'seen as' town and deter suspicions.

Alright, I'm all caught up again.

I'm not overly fond of the self voting from Medivh but I'm mostly leaning towards a sleep vote for this day phase.

So, according to the vote count my vote has actually been stolen for today which aligns with the writeup.

I'm just assuming it's a case of 'better safe than sorry' but I don't like the wording of the expanding light and apparent risk of indiscriminate harm if anyone is caught up in it.

As for picking someone to follow, I think it's a bad idea simply on the basis that whoever is most vocal will likely just be targeted at night for a kill.

I wonder if the light ceases to be a threat if we end the day early?

Placeholder vote to get one out there, though consider me willing to vote on Twintania - I'll move it over there when we approach end of day/enough people agree to end it early.

I'm not against the day phase being made to end early. We could look elsewhere but I'm increasingly optimistic that Princess is a solid thread to pull at for a lead.

I don't disagree with the existence of a counter train but Rikishi raises an excellent point there.

I'm at a loss as to where to go, other than tug at the Princess thread and see where that takes us. Not a lot to work with, I know, though by your own admission you were entrusted with knowledge. I assume you would have been told the identity of the killer if actions had not been obscured, right? If I'm reading the write up correctly.

I'm very eager to hear from GrumpyCat in particular.

The two most active and vocal posters currently agree on the same target. I want to see where that leads.

Maybe I'm just easily pleased but Arceus gets major town points from me for bringing that to light. Obviously everybody should read the rules, but there's certainly been games where that hasn't been the case and it's more often than not town players rather than scum players who point such things out.

I don't think there's much benefit in voting to sleep either. In a regular game, sure, it's a good tool on the table but we're working with even less information than usual this time around since we can't tap into the usual knowledge of who is who and base reads off of what we 'expect' from any given participant.

Well, for what it's worth the top posters are Sora at 159 posts and SubZero at 132 posts. I know activity doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of alignment but it's something I wanted to note. Grumpycat is a distant third at 38 posts.

I assume most people are sort of finding their feet and it'd be pretty hypocritical for me to tell people to post more when I only have 9 - now 10 - posts myself but this early in the morning that's what I'm bringing to the table as a random observation.

I think that SubZero is being pretty brazen but I don't think it's necessarily a scum tell so much as someone eager to try and lead town - for better or worse. I say that because the impression I got out of my death was that SubZero was eager to push on me to ensure that something happened.

I think if SubZero were scum, then opening up this day phase with an attempt to lament the lack of information from my 'flip' would have been the approach taken since that could readily be done.

If that makes sense?
