    • Okay, so Val really did just trust grumpy based on the hider comment okay -- I'd legit wondered if Val had been given every result wrong... it'd have been pretty damn funny XD
     
    So if anyone is confused by my claims and such.

    I had assumed I was the 1 independent because Handium had my color the same purple as Independent. However, I can see where that logic was flawed due to the "your alignment may change" comment (it wouldn't be may if I was the only independent). That is why I said I was defending Handium and that it is bastard but not to the level that I thought.

    So for the game to have started the way it was, I was starting town and part of the 9 Town makeup and because you fucks decided to kill Psycho first, made me convert to the scum team. I had assumed the independent claim would keep me alive until all of the other scum were dead and was hoping that Future could run it since he was being derp cleared by Foxxi (which is why we tried to kill her the night BN docced).

    I think I would have just made myself marked as town and not the same color as independent, if it were my game. It adds unneeded confusion when I was clearly already town and it wouldn't have actually mattered if I knew that or not.

    So for Handium to not be a bastard, I should have flipped Green turned Red :)

    I considered this, but the game was lost at that point any way so decided to go for revenge. Which is why I killed GC too for checking me like the meanie he was.

    Like I said in my post death comment, by that point my job was done. Helped with 2 lynches and got a major protect done. Would say well played on my part, even if it resulted in my death
     
    anyhow yall can now make fun of the setup because I wanna say it was just good town but I feel like it was also kinda the setup that caused the sweep

    Let's be fair here. Two lynches were because of mod mistakes confirming us as mafia and me misunderstanding the role and colors.

    Was it the only thing? Not at all because there was great solving regardless and the PoE was narrowed instantly.

    It feels townsided with two cops. One alignment and one modifier that would basically confirm things anyway (like my inheriting of the abilities).

    I think the biggest thing was the D1 yeet of the godfather that threw any form of balance out of the window because it was like worst possible scenario :D

    Plus misunderstanding of the rolecards and I wouldn't have claimed neutral and some other bullshit instead.

    The 2x on alignment cop would have 100% helped the balance overall for sure.

    Looking at the sheet, I don't think it was wildly unbalanced. You had two negative utility to town possibly (me and Listo, though I could have been beneficial to town)

    So welcome to modding. Not reading and fucking mechanics up. Trial by fire :D <3

    You should mod again. We all learn by making mistakes and overall this was a good game.

    I wouldn't beat yourself up over the Void one too much. He'd prolly still have gotten chopped with the 3p claim when game didn't end. And honestly I don't think a "no result" would have saved future from poe here either.

    Ultimately though, modding has a lot of moving parts, you did well for your second game with so many things to keep track of =)

    I think Future may have survived a day, but ultimately, I do not think the game would have ended any differently.

    It would depend on if others felt strongly enough to go elsewhere... cuz I'd still have pushed future. I'd determined if it wasn't claws, it had to be future - and a ?? cop result wouldn't have swayed my feelings on that I don't think. The only thing that might have made me reconsider was if Val got a "town" result. Then I may have gone into tinfoil land on matthieu.

    I mean it really comes down to you analyzing whether or not another town role would have Hider, like Grumpy claimed.

    You already saw Psycho flip as the "godfather" so its possible that alongside the other negative utility you may have gone tinfoil on someone else. (lowers power of cop if town roles don't always give town type thing)

    We won't know, but it may have changed feelings and not been a speed yeet on Future.

    The godfather part wouldn't even factor - unless I am misunderstanding, Val should have gotten "no result" which wouldn't have made me feel differently about future since it's null info - it doesn't change anything. If I'm wrong and Val got "town" then that could have changed things

    My point is you look at build setups.

    Grumpy, a town user, already claimed Hider which gives Unknown.

    You saw that the Mafia already had their GF flipped, which is typically the only "investigation proof" stuff Mafia typically has.

    If Val had gotten "Unknown" on Future, I am postulating that you would have sat and considered which alignment was more likely to have another Hider at that point. Would it make sense to give it to Mafia or would it make sense that town has it as a way to push back on the cops of all sorts.

    Again, I don't think it changed anything for the outcome, but I do believe Future would not have been speed yeeted based on that and there would be room for tinfoil/considerations.

    Maybe. But I also felt pretty damn strongly about everyone else as town so mechanics plausibility may not have had as much weight.

    I think I'd have stayed focused on future, but it's entirely possible others wouldn't have been as convinced.

    Definitely well played on your part. I consider your vote on psycho to have just been bad luck for the mafia team, but you and Foxxi were too much for me to overcome, despite Claws' over-acted efforts to seem scummy. You both saw through my fake jailor claim.

    How common is it for town to get through a game without ANY town misyeets?

    It happens occasionally, but not super frequently.
    Couldn't give you specific ratios tho

    It also depends on if Val said he trusts Future or specifically called him Unknown since im pretty sure with GC he just said "I trust GC"
     
    I vote BN - swapping to pysch and saving my life were game shaping moves. I didn't do anything really. Arguably my best contribution was just being alive cuz Void knew I'd never let a yeet happen on Val XD
