Maybe? Been a hot minute since we've done anything.

Blood on the clocktower is mafia adjacent. It functions in a very similar format to a role madness game like ToL or ToS, but slightly more bastardy. There are many ways info can be made false, and in certain situations the moderator has more leeway to influence the game. (An example of which is a role that can ask the moderator for advice - but there is no concrete scripted answer that the player would get. It's up to the moderator what advice to give.)

Players also do not get removed or revealed when they die, and each dead player may cast one last vote after death.

Interest?

This intrigues me. So if there is a 3rd party SK, and a scum faction, neither of those would know everyone that's dead.

Is there any reveal of action, to give town a fighting chance?

Can dead people keep voting after their last (after death) vote? Do we get a vote count?

This style of game does not have any SK type third parties. The scum (called the demon and minion in this game format) are the only hostile kill source -- at least in the base game roles that we'd be starting with. There are many roles I haven't fully delved into yet and don't plan on using.

There are many roles that give bits of information, including one that can learn the identity of players who are yeeted. There are also many ways information may be muddled or falsified, so it's wise to be wary you know something to be true without a doubt.

Dead players may continue to talk, but they only get one singular vote to use after they die for the rest of the game; so use it wisely. This becomes relevant/important especially in late game since the win conditions are slightly different than traditional mafia.

The town only need to kill the demon to win, not the minion. And the demon must live until there are only two players left - they do not win with parity or outnumbering town.... because even in a scenario of one town, a demon, and a minion left -- if the town still has dead votes and can figure out which of the players is the demon, they can still win.

So if they both have successful kills, neither the demon nor minion would know for sure who's still alive, leading to a possibility that a dead person gets targeted again for a kill. Unless, as you say, there are roles that could help them determine that information. Like , I suppose, maybe asking the not necessarily bastardy mod.

I would suppose the questions that someone could ask the mod probably have restrictions - as in, we likely couldn't ask the mod to tell us the identity of the demon. But in general, what types of ask the mod questions would be allowed? Can we ask for a list of players or roles that acted?

Are wills allowed? Is there any information revealed in writeups?

The demon and the minion are aligned, but only the demon ever kills, the minion has other abilities.

The roles that ask the mod for info do indeed have restrictions. And we won't be using those roles for this game anyway. We will be playing with the roles from Trouble Brewing. https://wiki.bloodontheclocktower.com/Trouble_Brewing

But they are things like asking a yes or no question - which it would be completely valid to ask "is player X the demon?" -- but not "who is the demon?"

Outside of that I will be answering game related questions for anyone. Things about how mechanics work, how things would interact, etc.

There are no wills, there is no need for a will since you can continue to talk and share whatever you'd known after you die.

There will be no writeups with this game

With LDG that gives us 10 -- I think it's possible to run this with 10, but I would prefer 12

I'll give it a lil longer and see if we can shake up a couple more, but if we get to next week without then we'll go with whatever we have

If you add LDG, we'll have eleven so far, unless someone has already been killed?

1. MTR
2. Psycho
3. Xanjori
4. GrumpyCat
5. CWE
6. Mathieu
7. Claws
8. 3puppies
9. Listo
10. NQM
11. LDG

Maybe this is just your way of reminding us that

I also want to make sure it is understood that while there are situations in which info can be false, those situations have structure. I will not give false information just for shits and giggles - there are two statuses that can result in getting false info: Drunk and poisoned. (The two statuses function identically, they just have different names for the sake of how the names sound I assume)

A drunk or poisoned player has no ability, but they are not told they are drunk or poisoned. I will interact with them as if everything is normal, which may include giving them information if their role would expect it. But that information *may* be false. Or it may not. It's moderator's discretion based on gamestate. A moderator may choose to give truthful info precisely because they would learn they are drunk/poisoned otherwise.
IE: the artist (a role we will not be using, but serves to make a clear example here) may once per game, ask the moderator a yes or no question. If a poisoned artist asks "does 2+2=4?" -- the moderator may very well choose to give the correct answer of "yes", since a false answer would tell the artist they are drunk or poisoned. Or if they want the artist to know they are drunk/poisoned, they may give the false answer.

But unless you are drunk or poisoned (or dealing with the Recluse or Spy), you will always receive correct information from me.

Oh, before I forget I lost access to the e-mail tied to my Discord account, so I made a new one. I'd appreciate a PM with a new invite link, please!

I’m definitely not in a place to play right now. I would love to be added to dead chat though to follow along.

This game has no dead chat. Dead players continue to talk and solve (or muddle the waters if they were minions)
