And then he was convinced to trust me again.

A decision i rewarded by restraining him, murdering Tildey, and simply walking away to end the game. Win the game.
 
So it doesnt change that much. If scum tried to kill someone that could potentialy have a shield then it was unlucky. And if they tried to kill someone without it then it didnt work out ;P

This was not what I was expecting. Calling me out on my knee-jerk reaction to Caito's participation, at a time when nobody's has posted anything of value to town.

Not sure what you've been following, but I have to figure that you have not only played before, but since you know of the legendary Caito/CWE rivalry, you are using a pseudonym and may have played here under a different name. Since you picked Pat McAfee, I played along with one of his trademark catch phrases.

I will give you a pass on telling me to live a more fruitful life, at the moment with all the stuff that I am dealing with in real life. I came back for the distraction, as I was very recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and am awaiting surgery next month. Doctors admin staff have been horrible as they don't seem to understand the concept of urgency. So a part of me took your comment hard. Another part wants to believe that you're trying to get in front by laying a Caito defense, before a wagon has a chance to build.

With no deaths, this is similar to day one again. But not quite.

I have to think that our baddies most likely avoided targeting any of the three possible shield winners. They probably targeted someone who was somehow protected.

As for those that piled on and/or avoided the val leading wagon yesterday, I have to agree with Grumpy as we rarely manage to get a D1 yeet around here.

So , Pat, do you think we should form another Val wagon? Or, can you give a reason why we shouldn't just eliminate Caito, who has a long history of never doing anything helpful for town?

Im not opposed to any wagon, other then my own, at this point. Wasnt my intention to defend Caito. You just bringing up an old game grudge on someone that hasnt played in a while seems like a lazy shot and not moving forward to solve the game.

Is Caito the only one in the game that has a history of not being helpful to town? I'd argue no. So why take this stance on day 2 with a sub, when there were several options on day 1 for this same reason.

So what can you share, at this point, with no writeups, no deaths so no reveals, that will help solve the game? Do you prefer to sit back and do nothing, or do you want to get trains going, so we have something to look back on later in the game?
 
I probably should have jumped on the Val train yesterday to just get a yeet in. I am not sure I like the Caito train right now. Figure things are going to move around this day phase as we get more into the groove of the game
 
can some1 explain how cursed soul works i read the info on discord but it is still confusing do they perm swap and are no longer cursed or is it like a daily swap and always the cursed soul dealo?

It's a neutral role stealing thief. Can't win while you are a cursed soul. That's about it.

They swap and take the role of the person that they swapped with and then that person has to swap to get rid of it. The person that was the cursed soul stays the role they took unless of course someone gives them the cursed soul back.

Since I didnt read day1, I want to see how people interact to form my opinions on who I think may or may not be worth lynching. Its why I asked about day 1. People said it was meh, so i decided against reading it.

I can say, that your reasoning on voting Caito of grudge + doesnt bring much to town, is weak. Since you didnt vote that way on day 1. Its why I called out that vote. There were others, and still are, that bring very little to the table on a regular basis.

Im not opposed to multiple trains. It will give us information in the days to come. I just dont have enough information right now to cast a vote, since not everyone has posted and given thoughts since day 2 began.

I just read thru D1. I never want anyone to question me again about voting for ppl for D1 instead of lynching a random person “cuz of the info” again….

I fully admitted that my reasoning on Caito is weak, as was my reasoning on Val. I wanted to have a vote recorded each day in order to potentially gain an elusive finger.

Since there did not seem to be enough interest in Val, it seemed pointless to start a train there again.

Town can only win by yeeting the baddies. We can only do that with successful information, which we will learn from vote history, etc. I would certainly prefer multiple trains because it gives more information. Scum can't just sit back, like they can if there is only one train.

But we have to start a train somewhere. In a 48 hour day period, if everyone wants to wait 40 hours to begin voting, well, I am not around much on weekends.
 
There’s only so many ppl who are gonna go with the McAfee moniker. If it’s who i think it is, not sure I trust them here. So that’s where my vote is going.

I figured McAfee wants to remain anon. Maybe he/she/they made some enemies here, or has too much of a reputation. The suggestion to me about keeping old grudges out of this game is certainly interesting. I wouldn't necessarily rule out someone who isn't a wrestling fan, as I wouldn't put it past void to have given this sub a suggestion to throw people off. "Pat McAfee" identity is certainly intriguing, as is their defense of you.

Your voting for Pat makes this even more interesting.

Nothing solid as far as I know. Caito would probably admit he intentionally plays as obnoxious and self-centered as possible, whether he's town, scum, or 3rd party. I haven't played enough to have had a chance to play against him since some I think last summer, but he had ruffled my puppy fur and I was killed relatively early. He's bragged about his wins a bit too much for my liking.

Since someone has to go for us to really begin gathering information, I figured let's see what happens.

On the other hand, I suspect CWE had initially been dealt the hot potato of the cursed soul. So he'd have tried to swap it away. If he'd had known caito was a participant, there's no way CWE would have missed a chance to curse Caito. I know we are not supposed to talk about subs, but let me suggest CWE gave it to someone else, who I suspect had to drop out and Caito subbed in. Leading a curse and then a successful yeet on Caito would give CWE some amusement, if not justice, and either way, it will give all of us some information.

CWE doesn't lie, and I don't want to put him on the spot by directly asking him about his potential actions last night.

I would instead just ask, @CWE , Do I have any of this right? Would you be happy with a Caito yeet?
 
If CWE was originally the hot potato, then would whoever got switched and is now cursed, therefore know what CWE's role is - was it their prior role? Unless there is more than one cursed soul out there, or if actions were misdirected/bus driven?
 
Tbf i only really started doing the obnoxious behavior bit since i stepped away from mafia games full time. I know this is playing right into talking about my wine too much hand, but i really can’t play a game any better than I did CWE v Caito. That’s why i only make sporadic “cameo” appearances now, and frankly being an ass makes it entertaining for me.

Thanks for openly acknowledging that your obnox behavior is about your own self-amusement. It will take some of the sting away if we're wrong about your scum alignment or your cursed status.

I am curious about the lack of a kill, either there’s no killing role (unlikely) or the kill got blocked but if someone roleblocked the kill, why haven’t they started a train citing info?
 
tbh there may not be a kill i have pondered this almost all day and i think vk just threw in a couple cursed souls to play hot potatoe with altho thats just my best guess if theres a wily sk or sumthing else i would be ok with that too

I agree. It would have to be they either targeted someone that turned out to be protected or the person doing the killing was blocked.

Unless I've misread the role card on discord the swap is a night action. So for CWE to be the cursed soul today means the previous cursed soul successfully swapped with him during N1. CWE would remain the cursed soul through the current day phase and not have the opportunity to attempt a swap with anyone until the end of the current day phase.

One they may be worried about outting themselves and making themselves into a target. Two with no write ups and it being this early in the game it would be hard to know

Previous person doesn't know for sure who got the cursed soul. 50% chance it goes to who they target 50% chance goes to random person. And why push even if you know. They can't win as a cursed soul. Previous person now has win con of the role they just took so focus is going to be on that.

I wholeheartedly agree with you there. But I also find it to be an amusing element so I do see what Void was drawn to include it. I'm less concerned about the cursed soul nonsense and more interested in what's going to happen with the whispers. I just don't think the option would be out there purely for funsies so I'm waiting for it to come in larger play.
