Mafia 32- Traitors

So lets see if I can take a guess at how this will work mechanically.

Taking balance into account, I am going to assume the recruit is 1x. Which can make sense in a scenario of having 2/9 to start with and really wanting an extra scum for balance potential.

That would mean you make it 2 starting (especially w/ plural on traitor).

So ultimately one town will swap to scum before the game ends. If we see no kill, its either hitting a shield or a recruit. Could be a holster, but that seems less likely depending on how the game is.

7 Faithful/2 Traitor remaining

D2 - Misyeet (6/2)
N2 - Kill (5/2)
D3 - Misyeet (5/2)
N3 - Kill (4/2)
D4 - Hit (4/1)
N4 - Recruit (3/2)

At this point we can win depending on how the 4 person vote ends up working out and if we can figure out who was recruited.

People with shields would be the priority assuming they are permanent until used.

If there are 3, lmao we fucked.

Or was the only person not voting even after they found out Sleep wasn't valid while knowing someone was going no matter what and didn't put himself on record in any form.
 
i assumed that shields were just for the following night cause that would be very town sided if they werent since scum probably only has the kill (which gets blocked)

if town is lucky enough, scum just couldnt be able to kill anyone if shields were perms

in terms of balance, I don't think shields are perma

Voting sleep isn't alignment indicative for me. You know I sometimes do it just for the sake of it, especially on D1.

Yeah, I didn't say that at all. Voting Sleep is 100% what you do on D1.

You commented on Sleep not being an option and decided not to vote on anyone after that. Every one else BUT you voted.

Why do you not want to be on record for a yeet? Or did you happen to know both would be faithful?

If you hadn't replied about Sleep not being valid, I'd give you a benefit of the doubt.
 
So when someone brings up "oh scum probably split vote on these trains" and just so happen to be the only person not voting is interesting.

shields are only good for the following night so yeah not perma which like you said helps with balance. plus that is how the show works except for the fact that people can earn more than one shield on the show during the course of the game.
 
I am watching the current season. I have not watched previous seasons but been thinking about it. I liked some of the people this season so it was enough for me to sit down and watch.

I have watched all 3 American season as well as every UK, Australian and New Zealand season. There are some rules that are different from season to season.
 
I’m curious if anyone on the GC or Claws train were actually scum. We can’t really misyeet. Do we think any of the silent people are traitors?
 
from my usual experiences with mafia there's usually a quiet mafia member and a more power wolfing mafia in a game
 
Ok, caught up on everything

I'm feeling increasingly confident that Void is town. Both in his play and his insistence that he's mod confirmed(I'm too lazy to actually look, but generally don't think it's the sort of thing he'd think to lie about unless it was a particularly topical joke that everyone would be in on).

Maybe it's the smaller game, maybe Future has just upped his game, but his general approach to the thread and the energy of his posts just don't feel like scum Future to me. He's got some vigor to him that I think normally comes out as town.

And I was kind of already thinking this before I saw the current vote count, which has VK and Future voting together lol
 
I'm still not immediately sold that Matthieu is scum(and I already know this stance is gonna blow up in my face if he flips traitor), though I don't really like how quickly he revenge voted Future.

I feel like I should ISO Handium because I'm still kind of conflicted there

Then I have Val, CWE, MTR, and Listo. My gut vibes with MTR as town. I want to say the same about CWE, though his vote on Future is a bit uninspired. But then I think about Val and again my gut leans town. I guess it's probably like...MTR>Val>CWE with towniest on the left and least towny on the right

I don't remember a single post from Listo

I is at work and unable to do so right now. I like void I know that much. I’m iffy on Matt cause of night length and the fact it was like 2.5hrs ending at like 9:30 am est. so most of us were likely asleep.

Looking back at these, I get some iffy feelings. There's a lot of waffling on Matthieu and Void in the first post. When asked for feels on anyone, they opt to talk about whether Void/Matthieu is w/w, t/t or t/w but doesn't really talk about which they actually feel would be the wolf there. And if Matthieu IS a traitor, then Handium waffling on him in the second post and saying Void would be the scum in the pairing makes their approach to Void feel like it could have been an intentional defense from the start.

As I'm looking at ISOs, I'm kind of floating around Matthieu, Handium, and CWE as my prime suspects. Well, you too, but I also trust if you're town you'll start proving it today/D3

I have mixed opinions about this progression. I believe Handium actually meant to vote Future based on the timing of their vote on me and the content of their post. And I also think this chain is maybe town-motivated because I kinda think Handium might be a more careful scum from the vibes I'm getting.

But I don't think Void was one of the people in favor of voting off the shields, so that comes off a bit like someone who has a pre-determined read on Void that just found an excuse to bring them into.

A bit conflicted on it
 
Finishing Handium's ISO, it doesn't help that they just kind of lazily pop on Claws and shade Grumpy when those were becoming the popular names.

Sir, I still havent successfully had a ToS game with a Socialite that I didn't fuck up :D

(But this is why I tend to make ti the same time always so i dont get confused because im an idiot

I meant to vote forgottenhold and when I fixed my vote, it was on hold not void, also, looking at my ISO, i never voted void?

The mention of void's reasoning was from before- how i said they felt scummy to me due to saying 'i hate this post' 'i like this post' without explaining why

The shade on grumpy was more of a "that doesnt seem towny with that mention of win con and how would having no shields help said win con unless they can kill?" i was admittedly looking way too much into a comment that was likely more 'shields remove people that could be choosen, and as such, increase my chance of death' or something like that

the claws vote was suspicious of me, im looking back on it and yeah why did i do that cause even tho i was confused on claws was going on about, it was a dumbass vote
i was up for like 14 hours straight then so get sleep everyone

Even I cannot explain why I hate posts sometimes. I get feelings when I read posts and try to put myself in that person's shoes and *why* they posted that.

Sometimes it just feels wrong for reasons I can't necessarily articulate.

But I tend to go with my gut feelings. They are definitely not always right (sorry Claws), but they can be decent to guide my thoughts even if no one else understands why :D

I believe so. Since there was not a kill that probably means it was down to one and they recruited. So we need to figure out original partner and that may help us figure out who they recruited.
 
Oh wait. Forgot a shield was in play. I mean either way still 6/2. Either a kill got blocked or it was down to one and the person recruited. Maybe I am thinking too much into this.
 
i might not be as active cause im hosting my own mafia game rn and I just watched a new player out themselves as scum from slight pressure kill me

Right now Void and Psycho are my town reads while I am pretty much neutral on the rest and no one is screaming scum at this point.

If Handium can’t be scum in my eyes then Val is safe. Matthieu was the quiet one, Listo is too…but I’m unsure if we’re looking for an active scum or a quiet scum.
