Welcome to the town of Ravenswood Bluff! A quaint little place steeped with intrigue…and murder.
This game format differs slightly from standard mafia: Death is NOT the end of the game. It is crucial to this game format that players continue to work on solving with their fellow townsfolk - or deceiving and confusing the townsfolk if you are a minion!
There is a lot of information in this game. However, some of it might be wrong. If you are drunk or poisoned, you have no ability, but I will pretend that you do. I am allowed to lie to you if you are drunk or poisoned—any information that you get may be incorrect, but you will not know if you are drunk or poisoned. For example, if you are the Drunk, I will tell you you’re a different character, and only I know that you are actually the Drunk. Or, if the Poisoner poisons you, you will still be prompted for a night action if you have one, but it won’t work or may return false results.
Voting will be handled slightly differently in this format:
Other key differences in this format:
1 Demon
2 Minions
1 Outsiders
7 townsfolk
Players:
@MTR
@PsychoSoldier
@CWE
@Claws
@Xanjori
@GrumpyCat
@Matthieu
@3puppies
@Listo95
@Nightmare Queen Miko
@Blind Ninja
Day One will begin once I hear confirmations from all players.)

Voting will be handled slightly differently in this format:
- In order to execute a player they must first be nominated.
- It only takes ONE nomination to put a player up on the block, and then the nominated player is the only player that votes may be cast for.
- A player may only nominate, or be nominated ONCE per day phase.
- Once a player has been nominated, players will vote either yea or nay. This vote CANNOT be changed. You may abstain from voting.
- A voting phase can last no more than 12 hours. If there are not enough votes to execute in that time, then it returns to nominations.
- If a majority of votes are reached on a player (based on living players), they will be executed at the end of the day, unless another nomination is made, and that player gains more votes.
- If two players tie for the same number of votes, there will be no elimination.
- The dead may cast ONE last vote after their death, but CANNOT nominate for execution.
Other key differences in this format:
- The Demon and the Minions are aware of each other, but are not told what roles they have and do not possess a private chat.
- Players may publicly request to talk to another player(s) privately. If the other player(s) agree, I will create a discord channel that will last for the remainder of the day for those players. (This is relevant because sharing information is critical for solving the game, however if done entirely openly then you know the demon will know too. In small chats you have better odds to keep the demon out of the loop - however it also gives the demon/minions cover to request to talk to each other if they need to.)
- The town wins when the Demon is executed, the Demon and its minions win if the Demon lives until only two players remain.
- Each character is unique, there will only ever be one of any given role. (There are exceptions to this in more complicated versions with roles we will not be using currently.) The Demon is given three bluffs to choose from - characters that are not in the game that they can safely pretend to be.
- Outsiders are good aligned players that win with the townsfolk, but their abilities are often negative utility to the town.
