Christmas Mafia 4 (Mafia 30): The House of MTR 2-God Loves, MTR kills

So my vote is void if we have deets. Is there any more conversation to be had or do we want to hammer and just get going to the next phase? At this point I wouldn't mind that so I can go through things and be prepared for the next day phase.
 
I would like a chance to properly read things and give maybe some new thoughts, but I'm not gonna fight over it since I probably can't get around to that tonight.

So in case the phase ends, the one thing I'll say is that Satsu's post where he voted Void is pretty awkward and I don't think Insaner died just because he was obvious town. Investigate that carefully, but he never got a proper resolution because I pushed to chop and inactive, which did us nothing but trim some fat.

It is now Night 4
 
With The Winter Knight eliminated, the Forces of Mab were finally dealt a blow. WIthout the spectre of MTR, several Christmas studios tenatively started to talk about distribution. And even Vanessa Hudgens thought it might be safe to rejoin Social Media.

If only the forces of Mab could be defeated so easily.


Jesse Spencer was the first person on the scene. He was used to taking on horrific sites, but nothing had quite prepared him for the reality of taking in statements from Blind Ninja and Listo.


Columbo staggered around and sat on a stoop. Nightingale was reading a newspaper and he decided to spend a while reading it with her.

Divasmurf was also worried. But his worries brought him to action. And that action brought him to satsu.

Lletty thought that maybe the best way to stop all this evil hacking was to go off the grid. She tried to meet with studio execs and see if they could go back to using paper files that couldn’t be hacked. She thought that psych could maybe help her make this presentation.

The harsh winter winds of Mab blew. And all who felt them were overwhelmed by air and darkness.

Not Suspicious Future stalked Listo He could see them hiding in a bush. Listo figured this was pretty normal and sauntered on.

Marcone was continually sewing discord and rewriting contracts. He had Netflix and Hallmark at each other’s throats, and neither could see that they were causing issues for the other creating Christmas movies.

Danhausen killed the Christmas spirit just by making the same joke over and over again. Some marks laughed, but they hate Christmas anyway.

Voidkitten decided it was time take his courtship to the next level. After all, if MTR wasn’t around to kill, what could win NSF’s favor more than VK taking up the family business….OF KILLLING. So, voidkitten hacked Blind Ninja’s accounts. He got into his GPS, and as Blind Ninja was trying to drive to Hallmark studios, his GPS told him to drive off a bridge.



It was a horrible sight.

With the wizard out of the picture, Mab knew it was time to elevate her game. While the loss of mtr hurt, the blind ambition of voidkitten was something she could exploit. His love for Future would keep the House divided....and thereby keep the world divided.

With 11 active players, Hammer is now 6.

It looks like columbo roleblocked me... I thought he was a cop but my action didn't go through and being stuck on a bench reading sounds like being kept occupied.

The only people I feel really good about are Psych and listo. Claws maybe too... the fact I don't think he's sus makes me paranoid I'm being pocketed, but that's not tinfoil I want to dig into right now.

I'm less sure about mitch dying to hiding behind val since void flipped MTR, and he was responsible for both deaths that night it looks like. I still don't understand how a hider dies while hiding though.

I'm also starting to wonder if Insaner was right about MTR in hindsight - I'd assumed that MTR couldn't be any of the red names because none of them were targeting insaner... but looking back that's really the only night we even see all the targets... which is weird. And void was targeting himself which usually isn't even possible..... so there is absolutely some fuckery there. I wouldn't be surprised if the targets were all just random and one of them did try to kill Insaner and it showed morri as the target instead.

Also I'm getting kinda scummy vibes from LDG. They seem a bit more talkative than normal and very focused on "what did 3p do?" Which in my experience is more likely to bring about a scum LDG
 
Looking at VK's ISO doesn't give much since he was mostly active on D1, but I remember it was after his vote on Matthieu where I said the wagon feels shady. Matthieu was nowhere near danger but I think it does strengthen his likelihood of just being town.

He interacts with BN, Claws, and LDG a lot in a way that makes it feel like Claws and LDG could be town, but VK is usually good about interacting with and giving guff to his partners, so I'm kind of holding off on committing to that opinion.

Eh, MTR's ISO feels a bit forced but not quite enough for me to immediately assume whatever Insaner was talking about is damning for him. But since it's the night with the most fuckery(probably), it's a great look for him.

I just think Satsu's ISO stinks. Some of his comments about VK are sussy, and his general behavior around wagons is wonky.

You're basing on an assumption of how Mazer would run it rather than actually trying to solve who has been helping and hurting town. Let's look at your record:

The first post here just looks like wolfy filler, but notable though that he falls VK boring and tries to hint at going for one of the other lurkers instead.

Trying to argue that he's worth saving because "he's around" and is just relying on inactives. Notable that he did NOT join the Morrison train, which makes me wonder if he was avoiding a wagon that had momentum on its own and ended up flipping town.

These posts come off maybe a bit like a partner who knows VK is scum and is playing on there usual rivalry. A surface level good look, but probably not outside of Claws' scumrange

These were on d2, and it's where Claws' push on VK starts feeling more real. Unfortunately, he pretty much drops it until I put Void, but eh...I still think this is a better look than not, especially since the vote here comes after Dreyski reasoned out why VK could be scum and voted first.

I also just can't help but look at the interaction with Insaner about his MTR read as genuine and not from a scum perspective.

I dunno, I guess it's not impossible Claws could be scum here, but the evidence at least leans in favor of him. Maybe if MTR is scum than the reaction to Insaner hits different and I change my mind.

I will say I was sus of Void because it's a Mazer game. I've noticed since this entire Listoverse kinda started me and him are almost always opposed.

And to be clear, I do think there's a decent chance one of the House members is scum, but that alone isn't enough for me to jump to chopping one of them.

Do you have thoughts on anyone else other than House members?

I'm going to take another look through the thread. I won't lie, I was sort of hoping to be night killed rather than make it to this point in the game since I'm not great at solving things but I will try my best.
 
I wish there was more I could add to this conversation, but last night was not a productive one for me, and I am under certain restrictions regarding my vote. Basically, I'm asking you to trust my actions (but not necessarily follow them) and hopefully things will resolve themselves before the end of game.

The forces of Mab surrounded Jesse Spencer, while he had gained the powers of Lucifer Morningstar, he was inexperienced in wielding them. On the other hand, Mab had the experience of ages.

MTR has been eliminated. He was Jesse Spencer-Town Back-up.

Voidkitten would not be slowed. He knew how ruthless Marcone could be. He had seen his anger levied at MTR previously, and knew he would kill him out of spite, even if it meant delaying the ascension of Mab..

He knew he could seal the deal with Not Suspicious Future. He hacked into the servers of Hell (which have terrible security by the way), and opened a portal below the Yakuza den, where Listo had been attempting to reform people by teaching them to make Origami Lobsters. Listo cried out "Not Again! Not that I mean to complain! Sorry for the inconvenience!"

Listo has been eliminated. He was Weakened Listo-Town Doc.


It was the coldest winter on record. But the cold was not just the weather. The cold was in the hearts of men, women, and children everywhere. With the Christmas movie work cancelled, and voidkitten planting false stories in the media about anyone who showed Christmas spirit, there were no soft comforts to lean on. Which only empowered Mab more, making it so that the winter winds blew even colder than that one year where Rudolph had to save Santa and also find homes for the Misfit Toys. (Because finding a home for a toy was apparently something beyond the power of a flying lion with a castle. But whatever. King Moonracer was a bum).

In any event, Mab was happy. Marcone had sealed the contracts. Voidkitten and future had formed a marriage of evil. And Danhausen had actually become very evil, and none at all nice. She was even ok with the fact that the Winter Knight was their only loss. Honestly, it was weird how he had disappeared for a bit anyway.

So she was pretty cool with things.

Her power reigned over the Earth.

There was a knock at her door. As she opened it, one of Violina's portals appeared. A beaten, bedraggled figure crawled through it. He looked up at Tildey.

"I'm sorry.....I thought I was saving us. But....I've destroyed us"

Tildey paused a long moment. She composed herself. "MTR, Listo is in hell....again. Honestly, it's become a habit with him. But still, the world's lightgiver is in Hell. Christmas is destroyed. And worst of all....OUR SON IS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH VOIDKITTEN!"

MTR looked up. A steely resolve set in his face. Just then, Letty and Diva walked through the portal.

Tildey continued, "We're going to save Listo, and with his power.....we're going to free Future from Voidkitten's net of seduction. And we're GOING TO SAVE THIS FAMILY"

Clause sat with his wife. So much had gone wrong. He crying inconsolably.

She looked at him with compassion. "Honey, I know how much this means to you. And it should mean a lot. I know you wanted to be Clause and bring the world joy with puns. But maybe, all those months ago, when I signed you up on FOS with the wrong name......Maybe it was a sign. Maybe this world doesn't need joy and puns. Just maybe, to save the world, we should look to the homonym".
 
Thank you all for playing. This one got a bit hectic for me as work and professional life went through some interesting things over the last week or so. Thankfully, things are good.

I did have a moment of panic, after losing my current game doc somehow after a remote back-up yesterday. Thankfully I was eventually able to recover an earlier version of the doc.



This game I was going for some chaos and devilry, which probably means I will swing the pendulum a little more to the order side next time (although never expect that either side can have a clean spreadsheet-I hate that shit. Similar to how I hate bodyguards). There were some things from this and last game that I liked, and things I'll refine.

Thank you all for taking the time to play, and win or lose I hope you had some challenge and fun moments.
 
Also, when I start a new job in two weeks, I am immensely looking forward to having laptop access to discord and google sheets again. Like....you have no idea how much.

So in that last phase, I couldn’t be on any train that Listo was on: mod message was ‘you feel a coldness towards Listo’ which I suspect was scum fuckery.

Don’t know if I was ever going to get results on Foxxi.

I'm confused? Not that it matters now - but I thought the identity thief didn't take effect because it'd been used? (You never said you were going to let it work due to the confusion - and even agreed with me when I asked if that meant the action had been wasted)

And if it *was* in effect then drey getting results would have been fine... possibly better than him being delayed? XD

Yeah. Just the delay. Was misremembering on a fast answer. Even remember thinking how fortunate the delay was.

This is why I keep the spreadsheet when I work through.
 
Knew we shouldn't have caved and kept pushing for Satsu when we lynched Morrison. I'm mad Iet that happen.

You had a kill too? Lol town had more kills than us. Mitch was a tricky hider. We had to combo roleblock and anti claim kill to get rid of him.
 
We should have used ninja kill on insaner instead of strongman kill. But after he survived first strongman kill i was almost sure he was that damn jennifer. And i wasnt going to let a neutral stay alive if they decide to be disrespectful.
 
Only as much as i had to be. I was town at heart. I even told you how many scum there are back on page 1 or 2. What kind of scum would do that.
 
Ggs, thanks for the game Mazer. I enjoyed the twist on the roleblocker role even if I couldn't use it effectively in this game. Knowing that Satsu was indeed a wolf, I'm quite content with my reads overall. I'm starting to feel like my lack of forcefulness is hurting my results in these games. My ever diminishing wim will probably prevent me from actually becoming a forceful player again but I might wanna reevaluate my approach on a philosophical level at least.
 
My plan for this game didnt go as expected. I wanted to be a bit sussy to bait a cop check but it never paid of. Cop had me as neutral and checked others and non cops were on me. I was lucky that its so hard to convince others to get someone without deets here.

Good that there was that one lurker town among 4 lurker scum and he just happened to have 0 posts.

And if Mazer modkilled lurkers it would be a very short game.
 
Was it you Insaner that sent this gif to ldg? I dont know what your role was supposed to do, i ve never seen it before
