Yes, but an early placeholder vote is also insurance against some mod bastardry or unforseen circumstances.

And I'm unsure of the day end in my timezone, but will likely happen during the night (best guess is 02.30-03.30) so I'm going to miss the last couple of hours anyway.
 
D1 BN is BN. Trolling/getting trolled by LDG, and prodding/voting for low contributors after placing a Mathhieu vote. Pretty NAI.

3pups is a slight town lean at this point. Is aware enough of post requirements that hamper his usual 'Grandpa Simpson' style shows he's willing to contribute despite it not being his forte. Hopefully we'll learn more when he's more available.

Satsu I'll need to run an ISO on.

While we're asking questions,: what do you think of Claws and Future?
 
Satsu - posts 169-170 raise an eyebrow, but nothing more. If the Matthieu train spirals out of control, then it might worth taking a further look.

No feels on Future yet. He's maybe a bit more present than I'd expect from scum Future at this point, but too early to tell.

I have a mild scum lean on Claws, but I also think Claws is easier to actually read by d2 or 3 and don't really feel like chopping him today.

DivaSmurf has been eliminated. They were Maze-Town One shot Vigilante.




As Maze lays dead, Lucifer appears. His rage knows no bounds. His eyes seem to light with power as he looks on at Maze.

I assume scum had some kind of force hammer mechanic that they used to kill Diva.

This is exactly what mafia would say.
 
This isn't a murder mystery game. This is a mafia game. Mafia killed Diva because Diva was a part of the opposing team. They need no other motive. You acting like this isn't the case seems disingenious and also exactly why you would choose this kill. There is no connection which is why you could make the argument you have just made for why you in particular wouldn't shoot Diva.
 
Just hit me that usually one shot vigs that die if they miss are called desperados typically so I guess that can make the argument stronger for this being a day kill by scum or third party but still seems weird and out of place.
 
To be clear my argument isn't that Dreyski chose to kill Diva. I'm assuming it was a collective decision and I don't care whatsoever to speculate about who would and wouldn't be okay with the shot. This isn't the point. But Dreyski's defensiveness about the subject is what ishas triggered my suspicion here.

If it is a scum day kill then it does seem unusual to use it at this stage. Seems like it would have been better to have held onto it until someone became a threat (ie became too "trusted" by town) and trying to NK that player would come with the risk of being blocked or watched.

If mafia had a targeted kill I really don't think they would have used it on Diva.

My best guess is they had the ability to either kill the exact spot between the leading wagons or a random wagon among the top vote getters.
 
Don't know if Diva ever had more than 2 votes? Someone can check the vote history if people want to investigate this further.

There are a number of ways you could react to a vote. Some of them I would even find towny. For example, you could try to clarify my reasons, and then respond to the accusation more reasonably. What you did was 1) Immediately accuse me of not being on the side of good for voting you; 2) State your "aliby" and try to redirect the focus onto other members of the House (which doesn't really mean anything for reasons I outlined above). It looks like fight or flight to me. It looks fishy.

How often does the mafia have a daykill? If it was a kill leading vote getter and a mafia ability, it would typically end the day. Not kill one and let the day continue.

Im wondering if there are multiple 1x vigi's that can potentially day shoot. And someone went the path of removing LHF that way instead of wasting a vote.

I agree with this. Scum wouldnt shoot LHF that isnt on their team. They would kill someone coming after them. A loud town voice or potential TPR

As Maze lay on the ground, Lucifer Morningstar looked on with compassion at his fallen lieutenant. This was an outrage. The Morningstar lit up the night sky, and his glory was observed by Psych, void, Mtr, Tildey, future, letty, drey, 3puppies, and morrison. Truly it was an awesome sight.



Weakened Listo was concerned about the lack of good in the world. He only knew one strategy. Be the change you want to see in the world. And so he spread goodness by building Claws a nice a cat tree.

Columbo knew that it would take more than cat trees to crack this case. 3puppies thought that detective was underwhelming and shabbily dressed.

Jackie Daytona was rarely worried, but dammit he had come to love these Hallmark actresses, and he'd be damned if he would seem harm to come to them. He went to talk to Tildey about hosting a fundraiser.

Clause was more determined than ever to save this weird family, save Christmas, and then go back to the Past, so he could finish signing up for FOS. He was a little worried about the sign-up error his wife had made, but he could fix that anytime. But it was still something to think about. He needed to paralyze his enemies with fear. He a true detainment clause. Or maybe an escape clause for good? It was difficult to say, so he went to ask Matt for his thoughts on branding.

Not Suspicious Future looked around nervously. He fidgeted a lot. Checked his watch. Looked around and was sweating. Nobody looked at him twice, and just assumed everything was cool.

Gentleman John Marcone, on the other hand, was very active. His entertainment division began to procure contracts. If force didn't work, he would use the force of corruption to stop christmas.

All this planning frustrated MTR, the Winter Knight. He knew that he must strike at the most honest and honorable heart this wretched world had ever know. He found CWE sitting at a bar. He leveled his sword at CWE. "I could let you live. All it would take is just one lie, and you can be spared. You could be empowered. All you have to say is that Eddie Kingston deserves a 6 month run as AEW World Champion".

CWE drew himself level with mtr. Even now, he would not lie.

CWE has been eliminated. He was ?????

As the Morningstar shone in outrage and glory, Mab snuck and also found the body of Maze. From there, she also had a plan. She found 3puppies as he was trying to do good on the world. Mab looked at him cruelly. "This weekend, I've got a special for you. BUY ONE GET ONE FREE....FOR DEATH"

3puppies was a little disappointed that the line wasn't a bit more clever. But that disappointment couldn't save him.

3puppies has been eliminated. He was Lt. Uhura-Town Neighborizer

As night became day once more, Mab sent her forces to raid. Marcone forced work stoppages and had his corrupt politicians pull the licenses from the sites of various Hallmark movies. Mab kept whispering in the ear of Mtr. And Voidkitten began a social media campaign to smear the reputation of every late 90s/200s actress so that they would be spending their time defending themselves from weirdos vs. filming random heartwarming movies. Voidkitten looked at Not Suspicious Future "See, I've got Vanessa Hudgens spending time shooting down rumors that she is raising her cats to be feral! Do you love me yet?". NSF was still playing it cool though. Let that kitten work for his affections.

The loss of Maze and Uhura had set Violina's forces back. She played a sad song, but soon the tune changed. Tildey looked on at the forces of good. She only prayed that they could carry this hopeful tune.

I’m really sorry that I’ve been MIA. I’ve had a lot going on at work with the holidays and end of year stuff: I work a half day tomorrow and then I have a few days off so I plan to do better.

Lucifer may have holstered, by the looks of it.
 
Think I'm gonna roll with Psycho being town from now on. He has been the towniest posted on D1 and I can vibe with the reads he made yesterday.
 
I would be down to get neighborized by that scum role using 3-puppies action. You can use our chat to troll me about how badly town is doing and I promise not to out you.

Didnt he do first action on top? With all that players? Not sure what that was supposed to do, i am not in there. Whats weird for a backup role if you ask me.

My Lucifer=backup theory comes from Diva's death write-up, where it says that Lucifer's eyes lit up with power upon Maze dying. I read the first paragraph of tonight's write-up as fluff.

I'm curious why you would say you are not one of the characters mentioned in that paragraph. That feels a bit too loose lipped to me. Are you finding yourself short on things to say right now, Satsu?

Mazer likkes to do limited writeups, with viewable actions determined by RNG/dice roll. I'm guessing Lucifer rolled high.
 
It doesnt look like CWE was roleblocked so if he was yellow he would still at least show.
Maybe if he was some passive neutral but Jeniffer appears in those games at times and i recall that as some sk.
 
Unfortunate timing so close to Christmas but I've come down with one of those nasty intense fever and headache combos. I'll be 'around' but I won't be able to post much until later in the day phase when I can look at a screen without wincing.

My working theory is that he made all our actions 'visible' in the writeup. Which could work to our advantage because that list of names should contain up to four mafia members (Mab, MTR, Not Suspicious Future, Gentleman John Marcone)
