if they were cult or unseen, pushing the king day 1 has the potential to chop the balls off their faction's future if it turns out to be their king, as any future king aligned with them will lose the close allies ability, which will be way more powerful and useful in the long run than any of the starting good king perks. only other reason to push would be if they were worried about a psycho king and a night kill, but the odds don't play well to make that push.

at the time of the votes, there was no runaway leader, so i don't know that voting the king could have been an attempt at a smokescreen play. so oddly enough, i think i actually trust lora and val a lil bit...

The tournament was in full swing. The first event was the joust. Prior to the main event, the jousters convened and engaged in some trash talk and dignified debauchery. They all continued to talk shit, but talked shit most about one of the participants. The other participants spoke amongst themselves. There where always whispers of nefarious deeds being performed and they wondered if this jouster was a part of it. They came to a decision and confronted MTR.

"MTR, you will answer our questions or we will ensure you face off against Ser Bertholdt in the joust and you know what that will mean."

MTR gulped, remembering the stories of this fearsome knight, and took his place at the center of the room, surrounded by inquiring minds.

MTR has been put on trial and is the only person who can be eliminated today.

Psycho King can not be a starting king. That will only occur if the neutral killing ascends to the throne after the king dies.
