I bet you would. I got nothing yet, but there are some people I haven't played with before, so they're going to be null reads for a bit. No-one is screaming scummy, but I'm always a little sus of people self-restricting day one (hence my vote).

As mentioned earlier before this action came about, had concerns over him not really contributing but so far he’s just brushing it off as “oh well D1, who cares. How dare they?” Honestly think D1 banter from my perspective is a bit of a lame excuse. I’m not wholly convinced by the newbies yet either but at least they’re trying and offering analysis. I find when Future is blasé and on the defensive and not analysing, he turns out to be scum.
I had this same train of thought last game I was in (which turned out to be correct lol) but also recognise at the same time she was legit busy and more a spreadsheeter so for now cutting her a break for the time being. At the same time with Mazer’s 5 posts/1 vote warning she would’ve popped in by now.
Although on that occasion last game I played, though she was scum he turned out town IIRC.
Valid thought. It really depends on how they'd feel about the choices. There may be a few people in our community I'd shoot early as an inactivity vig to try and solve them.

I feel similarly. It really should be NAI especially for Val, it feels pure.
From what I know of Val, I tend to find the wordier he is and more analytical and effort he puts in, it tends to ring scum. But you know him better than me. I appreciate the bravado here at least.

I don't like solving on d1 and of course i'm defensive when some random guy gives me 4 votes d1. I mean I can't even tell who is shitposting and who is being serious this phase. To me it feels like someone decided to either mix things up or is going off of a gut feeling
D1 can be solvy though or at the very least can be looked back on later to see how things went and analysed to see how things go. Just putting it off as “ah well D1, doesn’t mean anything” seems a bit lame.
I don't really think Jay was taking into account that this might be a D1 is immunity thing.
After reading the rules properly, I'd like to retract my statement. Leading vote-getter gets got (or immunity, which would be an interesting wrinkle).

I wouldn't expect Jay to be told if everyone else wasn't. I was saying I just don't think Jay was considering it so it shouldn't be looked at like he wanted to potentially "save" Future by giving him votes and letting him get immunity. I think Jay was saying to yeet Future of those 3 and trying to drive the votes that way.
I can see that viewpoint and thank you for not calling D1 useless.

Well there is also the fifth element to be fair of who proposed the theory in the first place who could be throwing the cat amongst the pigeons. He seems new and bold D1 play for a newbie so just going to file that one for now to look at later.

These analyses are why it’s good to take note of and look back on. D1 is not entirely useless and a free phase like some say it is. People who basically say “Ach it’s D1, everyone knows I act like this” are pingy.

yes? I didn't really like the Future pile-on. I guess you could argue that Val is town b/c her reasoning is pretty awful and seems unconcerned with how they come across but if Future does flip town we should just give Val a pass for contributing to a mislynch? I think Future's reaction is pretty normal. Could maybe argue that he's scum and angry that he's gonna be the days lynch but I'm not super convinced about that.
I know I said that Richard seems town to me but it's not really impossible that he comes in, argues rule of 3, and then does nothing else. I'd be interested in she's what else he does when he starts posting again.

Ok so Jay had quad votes. Mechanically that makes them more likely to be town, because it seems unbalanced for the mafia to be close to parity vote wise on D1.
